  • E, VE and Expander Tube

    Oil States offers a complete line of expander tubes with replacement components for the industrial clutch and brake product line. Our tubes are designed for the most rigorous applications that have high pneumatic and hydraulic pressures.

    Oil States has a facility in Arlington, Texas, where we manufacture rubber that features proven technology in the market. We offer full engineering support worldwide to help you quickly and confidently solve your toughest design challenges.

  • ER Unit

    The ER units are used as both clutches and brakes that feature a centrifugal expander-tube design with moderate starting and stopping loads. In the ER design, the tube component provides shock absorption and transmits the entire torque load, providing longer life in high-duty cycle applications.

    The ER was designed for commercial laundry, tire builders, paper converters, textile machines and many similar applications. The ER element can also be used as a shaft coupling, light-slip clutch, or tension/holding brake.

  • Air Tube

    Oil States Air Tube actuators are used in disk-type clutch and brake applications found on a wide variety of machinery used in power transmission and braking.

  • CoolForce™ Water Cooled Brake

    The CM clutch and brake design offers the same features of the CB unit but has ventilated friction-shoe assemblies where moderate slippage is encountered between the element and drum. Oil States CM technology is the preferred choice for the marine industry, and the CM elements are offered in five sizes.   • VC Unit

    The VC units are designed and built for severe clutch and brake applications where large-inertia loads are required.

    The VC is ideal for severe, high-torque applications. The ELASTA-FLEX™ VC brake serves as a durable, high-thermal- capacity drum clutch or brake. The unique design of the ventilated friction-shoe assembly allows for a high volume of air flow across the entire shoe length, enhancing heat dissipation, preserving the elastomeric actuator tube and extending overall clutch life. Virtually all components used in the VC design are replaceable.

  • CB Unit

    The CB units are used as both clutches and brakes in general power transmissions on all types of machines.

    Reliability, low inertia and simplicity of design make the ELASTA-FLEX™  CB an excellent choice for high-speed, cyclical clutch and low- to-medium torque systems. Its integral rim/tube construction makes this a highly adaptable solution, and the tube’s design compensates for imperfect alignment in the driving system while delivering a smooth transfer of power.
